Going to the Senior Prom

Dear Lynn DCF and Cherish the Children,

I want to say thank you for all helping me go to the senior prom. I was sure that I wouldn't be able to go since I couldn't afford to spend money on anything that wasn't absolutely necessary, like rent and food. I'm so glad that CTC included the extra money so I could buy the prom pictures too!

I had so much fun and am so happy that I will now have those memories forever.

I also want to thank my Social Worker for all the help that I have gotten through the years, for being there when my family was not, and for being like family to me.

I really do appreciate everything you guys have done for me. For finding me a home, providing a way for me to have clothing and food when I had non, for helping me get a job, getting me through high school, coming to see me graduate and helping me get into college.

Even though my case closes very soon, I will never forget about you guys and I am looking forward to being involved in the near future as a spokesperson for DCF kids and youth.

I'd like to let them know that even though they whole work might be falling apart that there is still hop; that there are people at DCF who are willing and able to give the necessary support in order to help them succeed.
